About GoFor Hibachi
We are a mobile hibachi catering service. Instead of booking a table, you book a chef — and the whole teppanyaki experience shows up at your Rhode Island address.
The Grill Travels to You
GoFor Hibachi brings the excitement of Japanese-style grill cooking directly to private events. Our chefs handle the cooking, the entertainment and the whole experience, so the host gets to sit down and actually enjoy their own party.
Everything happens in front of your guests. The chef sets up a professional teppanyaki griddle wherever it makes sense — the deck, the patio, the lawn, a driveway, a tent — and cooks every plate to order while the show runs alongside it.
We serve Rhode Island as part of a wider New England service area, which means we are on the road most weekends and know how to work in tight city yards in Providence just as well as open lawns in South County.

What We Bring, What You Provide
The short version: we handle everything that touches the food and the fire. You handle the seating and the guest list.
The chef brings
- A professional portable hibachi grill and propane
- All food, proteins, rice, vegetables and sauces
- Cooking equipment, utensils and prep gear
- The live fire show and chef entertainment
- Full setup and breakdown of the cooking station
- Sake service for guests aged 21 and over
You usually provide
- Tables and chairs for your guests
- Plates, cutlery and drinkware for the table
- A level outdoor spot for the grill with clear space around it
- Somewhere for the chef to park nearby
- A heads-up on any allergies or dietary needs
Setup needs vary by property, so we confirm exactly what is required for your address when you book. Not sure your space works? Send a photo of the yard or patio and we will tell you straight away.
How the Booking Runs
Send your details
Date, town, guest count and roughly what time you want to eat. Use the form, call or text — whichever is easier.
Lock the menu
We come back with availability and pricing. You choose proteins per guest and add any upgrades, appetizers or sides.
Confirm address & fee
Send the full event address. We confirm the travel fee, the arrival window and where the grill will be set up.
Party day
The chef arrives ahead of service, sets up, cooks course by course, runs the show and packs the station away.
Good to Know Before the Day
A few things that make the evening run smoothly, based on the parties we cook most often across Rhode Island.
- Give the grill room. The chef needs clear space in front of the griddle to work and to run the show safely.
- Outdoors is best. Open air handles the smoke and the flames far better than an indoor room.
- Seat guests facing the grill. One long table or a U-shape keeps everyone in view of the show.
- Plan around the light. Evening parties look spectacular, but add some patio lighting so the chef can see the griddle.
- Weather backup. If rain is likely, a tent, garage or covered patio keeps the party on schedule.
